FROM EIQ BUILD-UP TO AN INCLUSIVE LABOUR MARKET

Project Location: 

Vardar Region: Municipalities of Demir Kapija and Rosoman.

Project Duration: 

18 months: from 14.12.2015 to 14.06.2017.

Overall Objective: 

To generate long term employment opportunities for the disadvantaged persons and introduce a diversity of targeted employment services and assistance in the Municipalities of Demir Kapija and Rosoman.

Specific Objectives: 
  • To support the disadvantaged persons in the employment process by offering specialized trainings and individual mentoring;
  • To encourage regional employment policies by promoting close inter-municipal collaboration;
  • To improve practical experience of the target group by transferring innovative best-practices approach tailored to the specific needs of the target groups;
  • To promote volunteering as an alternative pathway for tackling unemployment by raising public awareness.
Target Group / Beneficiaries: 

The target groups of the project are:

  • People living in remote and rural areas;
  • Young unemployed persons (age 20-29);
  • People that have not completed their middle school education;
  • Ethnic minorities (e.g. Turkish minority in municipality of Demir Kapija and Serbian minority in municipality of Rosoman);
  • Unemployed women.

The beneficiaries of the project are:

  • Employment Service Agency;
  • Center for Development of the Vardar Planning Region;
  • Municipalities of Demir Kapija and Rosoman;
  • Private sector (Companies, Chamber of Commerce).
Activities: 
  • Preparatory activities:
    • Recruitment of project staff, establishment of a PO and two CSLMI, visibility and publicity actions, recruitment of key experts, organizing kick-off meeting;
  • Preparation of a study:
    • Theoretical research and setting up interviews, formulating the methodology, conducting interviews, analysis and preparing the study;
  • Specialized Training Services (STS):
    • Organizing STS in Demir Kapija and Rosoman;
  • Individual and group mentoring;
  • Practice firms:
    • Practice firm trainings in Demir Kapija and Rosoman;
  • Promotion of volunteerism:
    • Publication of brochures, informative sessions, awareness raising campaign.
